One Stop Worktops

Measurement guide

There are situations where you have to build the kitchen yourself and you have to plan the dimensions carefully.
Here is a measurement guide from us! The below image is all we need from you in order to proceed with any fabrication requests. Leave the nitty critty to the professionals but then fit it yourself to save costs!

1. Measure the length of the worktops along the wall

Measurements from the inside of your worktops will be smaller than the wall measurements. This information is crucial as the joint you currently have could be different to what we use here… With that said please ensure all measurements are your wall measurements as shown in white on the drawing example. With an island, we just need to know the total length, width and which end you require edging.

2. Measure the depth of the worktops and the width of islands.

3. Measuring for upstands/splashbacks

4. Measuring for windowsill/bespoke upstand.

If the kitchen is already installed but without tops, measure from the wall to the front of the carcass and add 30 mm for door and handle ledge, if you have chosen handless doors be aware of your carcass depth and door thickness in order to gain a flush finish.

Measuring a back wall worktop will suffice if you only have a standard height (100 mm). But if your bases are extra high be sure to check what space you have to work with before cutting. Measure twice, cut once.

Please measure the length of the sill and the depth, front to back. Remember to allow any protrusion beyond the tiles / upstand.

When the view on the windowsill is higher than in the rest of the room, you need to indicate how high the view should be along this section and work all this out before cutting.
